The Meaning of Gamchilmat

Gamchilmat (감칠맛) is a Korean word often translated as “umami”, but it means much more. It describes the deep, lingering savouriness created through time and balance.

Inspired by Korean fermentation traditions, our mission is to share authentic flavours, the people behind them and the stories they carry.
